We have heard on a number of occasions that people can be a little overwhelmed with how much content there is in our qi gong class, particularly for new beginners. We’ve listened to this feedback, and we’re making the following changes to classes to better accommodate all levels of learning. If you are a student already, you can continue coming at the same times you always have and will see no significant change to class. Beginners will be encouraged to start earlier with the first hour of class. Any questions, please give me a call on or email [email protected]

Here are the changes: From now on, classes will start half an hour earlier, and the first half hour will cover basics and introductory exercises with a more hands-on teaching style. The rest of the class will follow the existing format.

Therefore, new beginners can come for the first hour, more experienced people can start half an hour later (at the same time they are currently used to) and stay for the rest of the class. Of course, if people are keen to do more, then beginners are welcome to stay for the entire class, and experienced students are welcome to come earlier and do the extra training. So qi gong classes will now be as follows:

Monday:

9.00am to 9.30 – Beginners – basic exercises and 18 Lohan short form (Dragon, Tiger and Crane).

9.30 to 10.00 – Regular class – warm-up, basic exercises, full 18 Lohan form.

10.00 – 10.30 – San Jiao exercise, Siu Lohan, Dai Gik Kuen.

Thursday:

5.30pm to 6.00 – Beginners – basic exercises and 18 Lohan short form (Dragon, Tiger and Crane).

6.00 to 6.30 – Regular class – warm-up, basic exercises, full 18 Lohan form.

6.30 – 7.00 – San Jiao exercise, Siu Lohan, Dai Gik Kuen.

Classes will probably run a little later than the above times most days. If you are a student already, you can continue coming at the same times you always have and will see no significant change to class. Beginners will be encouraged to start with the first hour of class. Any questions, please give me a call on or email [email protected]
